First Aid Kits for the Workplace
First Aid Kits are useful tools that can save lives when used properly. They contain supplies that can be used to treat minor injuries and illnesses, and they also provide information on how to use these items safely.
Having First Aid Kits or Cabinets easily accessible at the workplace plays an integral part of any emergency response or preparedness plan.
The Right Type Of Kit For Your Needs
What Size First Aid Kit or Cabinet do I need?
First Aid Cabinets are typically a recommended solution for workplaces such as restaurants, warehouses, offices, schools and more. This is primarily because it is easier to locate a cabinet on the wall than a kit someone in a closet or storage space and may be easily forgotten.
Cabinets vary in size and are classified by the number of people they are equipped to treat.

What are ANSI Standards?
NSI (American National Standards Institute) is the main organization supporting the development of technology standards in the United States. ANSI works with industry groups, and it is the U.S. member of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).
First Aid Kits and Cabinets often follow ANSI or OSHA standards to maintain consistent quality control.
The Benefits of a Workplace First Aid Kit
The most common types of injuries sustained on the job include cuts, scrapes, burns, sprains, strains, and fractures. These injuries may occur during normal activities like lifting heavy objects, working around machinery, or performing repetitive tasks. Other injuries may result from accidents like slips, trips, falls, or being struck by moving equipment.
Being able to treat basic injuries quickly and effectively can reduce lost time and cost, improving productivity and saving your company money.
