The Lifeline delivers an impedance-compensated biphasic truncated exponential shock at 150 J for adults and 50 J for children and infants, nominal into 50 ohms. Operation is two buttons and voice prompts, with a built-in CPR metronome pacing compressions. Pediatric rescue means switching to DDP-200P child/infant pads for patients under 8 years or under 55 lbs. Battery is the real decision at purchase: the standard DBP-1400 carries a 5-year standby life with 125 shocks or 8 hours of continuous operation, and a long-life 7-year pack is also offered, which lines replacement cycles up differently across a fleet. It is rated IP54 to IEC 60529, sealed against dust and splashing water with the battery installed, and weighs 4.2 lbs. The reason for the loss of two stars: These things have a useful life of two years, which is understandable, given the nature of the product, and the necessity of adhesives (for the skin) to not be dried out. I'm OK with that. The problem is that the two adult pad replacements I ordered on 6/20/24 have an expiration date of 12/19/25. I lost 25% of the useful life of the product...before I even received it.
