The DBP-2800 is the long-life pack: seven years of standby life installed in the AED with a 9 V ASI battery fitted, and 300 shocks, against five years and 125 shocks from the standard DBP-1400. It costs more up front and pays that back by stretching the replacement cycle — usually the deciding factor across a multi-site fleet, where fewer service visits matter more than unit price. Lithium/manganese dioxide, disposable, recyclable and non-rechargeable.

The reason for the loss of two stars: These things have a useful life of two years, which is understandable, given the nature of the product, and the necessity of adhesives (for the skin) to not be dried out. I'm OK with that. The problem is that the two adult pad replacements I ordered on 6/20/24 have an expiration date of 12/19/25. I lost 25% of the useful life of the product...before I even received it.
