Pediatric pads deliver a reduced defibrillation energy appropriate for a child under 8 years old or under 55 lbs, and they are not interchangeable with the adult G3 set. Any site where children are present — schools, daycares, youth sports, family facilities — should stock a pediatric set alongside the adult pads, not instead of them. The reason for the loss of two stars: These things have a useful life of two years, which is understandable, given the nature of the product, and the necessity of adhesives (for the skin) to not be dried out. I'm OK with that. The problem is that the two adult pad replacements I ordered on 6/20/24 have an expiration date of 12/19/25. I lost 25% of the useful life of the product...before I even received it.
