Requirement

Physician

A physician licensed in North Carolina needed for prescription.

CPR/AED Training

The person responsible for the site where the AED is located must provide a program of training to be eligible for immunity.

EMS Notification

In order to enhance public health and safety, a seller of an AED shall notify the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Facilities Services, Office of EMS of the existence, location, and type of AED.
