In the year 2000, the Federal Cardiac Arrest Survival Act was signed by the President to recommend placements of AEDs and provide Good Samaritan protection for responders who use an AED. Download file

Each state provides additional Good Samaritan protection as well as legislation requirements for establishing an AED program.
