Philips AED Defibrillator Pads
Philips Healthcare has been in the business of providing quality products for the health care industry since 1933 and has shipped almost 750,000 automated external defibrillators (AEDs) worldwide. However, Philips’ AED units will not do their job properly if they do not have Philips AED pads attached to them. AED Brands is proud to carry Philips defibrillator pads for the OnSite, FR2, FRx and Forerunner AED models.
For the OnSite AED, we carry Philips defib pads for adults and children alike. Infants and children who are younger than eight years old or weigh less than 55 pounds require a lower level of energy because of their smaller body size. Philips AED pads for infants and children are made specifically with that in mind. Children do not suffer sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) as often as teenagers or adults, but nearly 4 percent of America’s youngest citizens do experience SCA each year. If children make up a percentage of your business, or if your Philips AED is placed in a school or daycare, you need to make sure that you have extra Philips AED pads for infants and children on hand. Keep a supply of extra adult Philips defibrillator pads on hand too, to ensure that your AED program is compliant and successful.
AED Brands also carries Philips defibrillator pads specifically for training purposes. These AED pads come in both adult and infant/child sizes.
If your AED unit is a Philips FR2 AED, AED Brands carries single adult Philips AED pad packs, as well as packages of five AED pads. Infant and child Philips defib pads are available for the FR2 unit, and we carry AED training pads for the FR2 and OnSite AEDs in infant/child and adult sizes, as well.
Another item AED Brands carries in the Philips AED pads line is pad adapters. Each of these adapters allows Philips AED pads to be used with Medtronic or Zoll automated external defibrillators.
For the Philips FRx automated external defibrillator, AED Brands carries the unique Infant Child Key. This key allows the FRx AED to be used as a defibrillator for an infant or child without requiring the use of Philips AED pads for infants or children. If your business mainly caters to adults, but sometimes there are children or babies on the premises, you may only have Philips AED pads for adults on hand, but having the FRx Infant Child Key as part of your AED kit is smart. AED Brands also carries Philips AED pads for training purposes, along with Philips AED pad placement guides for both adults and infants/children.
The Philips Forerunner AED has been discontinued, but AED Brands still carries Philips AED pads for this unit. The shelf life of Philips AED pads is about 24 months, so it is imperative that you routinely inspect your supplies and replace your Philips AED pads about once every two years. All AED pads eventually expire because the gel that helps the pads stick to the victim’s skin starts to break down and dry out as time passes. Checking the expiration dates on your Philips AED pads is an important component of your AED program. Make sure this step is not overlooked.
